SMNC's new 12-inch Fab Project is located in Beijing, No.18, Wenchang Avenue. The project is built in strict accordance to the design requirements for LEED certification and is 25% lower than LEED's standard in energy consumption. The materials used to build and decorate the fab such as paint, adhesives, sealants are all LEED certified. Usage of VOC (volatile organic compound) is strictly controlled and all the materials are ensured that no chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) has been used. In addition, the construction process is supervised by experienced EMSI LEED professionals.

EMSI provided LEED consulting service for this project, helping it successfully get the LEED NC Gold certification.
